Having trouble running the debugger in Flash CS3? Specifically, are you getting the “debugger launch failed” message? Here’s the solution:

For Mac users: open the Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor) and kill the “adl” process. Now try to debug your Flash movie, and it should be fine.
